FAQs
-
We’ll start with a brief conversation about your business, how your bookkeeping is currently being handled and what you’re looking for help with. I’ll ask about the accounts and systems you use, your bookkeeping history, and any concerns you have. From there, I’ll explain the next step and determine whether TrueLine is a good fit for your business.
-
If you have existing books, the next step is a $100 Bookkeeping Diagnostic Review. The review fee is invoiced and paid before I access and evaluate your books. During the review, I’ll assess the current condition of your bookkeeping, identify areas that need attention, and determine the services needed so I can provide accurate pricing.
The $100 review fee is non-refundable because it covers the time spent evaluating your books. If you choose to move forward with TrueLine Bookkeeping, the full $100 will be credited toward the cost of your bookkeeping services.
After the review, I’ll provide my recommendations and pricing. If you decide to move forward, you’ll receive an engagement agreement outlining the services and fees, and we’ll begin the onboarding process.
-
Yes, if you have existing bookkeeping records, I’ll verify their current condition before providing final pricing. Even when books appear to be up to date, a review helps confirm that accounts are reconciled and the financial records are in good order.
Brand-new businesses that need a new QuickBooks setup and have no existing bookkeeping history generally will not need a diagnostic review.

Monthly bookkeeping starts at $300 per month. Every business is a little different, so pricing depends on factors such as the number of accounts, monthly transaction volume, bookkeeping needs, and the current condition of your books.
Cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping is priced separately based on how far behind the books are and the amount of work needed. After reviewing your needs and existing books, I’ll provide clear pricing before any bookkeeping work begins.
-
Once you decide to move forward, I’ll provide an engagement agreement outlining the services and pricing. Then we’ll complete the onboarding process, gather the access and information needed, and establish a plan for getting your books cleaned up or beginning your ongoing monthly bookkeeping.
